The Great Outdoors

**Disclaimer - This was written awhile ago and I forgot to post it**

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ohio weather, you might be surprised to know that we actually get more rain than Seattle, particularly in the spring.  This year it has barely rained at all and we have had 5 record highs already this month.  The people on the news are calling it "El Nino", Al Gore may be calling it global warming, but I am calling it FABULOUS!  Mommy says this is one of the rare times in a decade that it's good to live in Columbus.  We had a horrible winter and she's pretty sure we're going to have a scorching summer so we're enjoying the warm days and cool nights while we can.  In fact, I've spent the last 4 days outside soaking up the sun.

On Saturday Daddy left early to head up to dreaded Ann Arbor to watch Michigan's spring game.  At first I thought that Daddy went to work, but Mommy explained to me (multiple times) that he was out with his friends and wouldn't be home until very late.  But she told me that we were going to have fun too because we were invited to Caden's 1st birthday party.  Caden is the son of my mommy's college roommate/friend, Marti.  I have been to his house lots of times and was very excited to go.  So after breakfast and a bath, Mommy, Seren, and I headed to the toy store to pick out a birthday gift for Caden.  Now, I know I was supposed to be looking for boy gifts for my friend, but there were so many things at the store that I wanted.  I kept trying to get Mommy to buy something for me but she just kept asking me if I saw anything for Caden.  She never gives in!  It's times like these that I wish Daddy was with me.  All I have to do is stare at him with my big brown eyes and he does whatever I want!

Anyway, I finally managed to find a puzzle that looked like fun.  It had planes, trains and cars on it that make noise when you put the right piece in the right place.  Mommy found a Mr. Potato Head dressed in a Bengals uniform.  It said it was for children 2 years and older but Mommy figured Ryan (Caden's dad) could play with it until Caden is old enough to have it.  Then we were off to the party!

When we got there, Andre (their doggy) gave me lots of puppy kisses.  Mommy was happy b/c I used to freak out when dogs tried to lick me but now, they don't seem to bother me.  There were lots of yummy snacks to eat and Caden had a bunch of fun toys to play with.  I was riding on his motorcycle when I drove right over a cup, spilling soda all over the floor.  Sorry Marti and Ryan!!  Then we watched Caden open birthday presents and attack his little cake.  I've never seen anyone eat so much cake in my whole life!  I'm pretty sure he liked it a lot.  After that, we had to leave.  I wanted to stay but it was way past Seren's naptime and she was very grumpy.  Surprisingly, she didn't fall asleep in the car and I did!

On Sunday I helped Mommy and Daddy do lots of yard work.  They planted flowers, pulled weeds, and put down new mulch.  They also fenced in a little area around the mailbox with flowers so it looks very pretty now.  Mommy was hoping to fertilize the yard and mow too but the other stuff took so long, she's going to make Daddy do it next weekend.  Plus, it was kind of chilly on Sunday and my cheeks were pretty red from being in the wind all day.

The last two days have been much warmer.  Mommy, Seren, and I have gone on many, many walks.  I've been to the park twice, ridden around the neighborhood on my tricycle, played soccer, colored the driveway with chalk, blown millions of bubbles, and met a few new neighborhood friends.  It was so warm today that I even rode my tricycle through the sprinkler.  I didn't get too wet, just slightly damp!  I also helped Mommy water the flowers and rake the grass.  Our neighbor gave her some tips when she was complaining about our lawn.  I guess raking is supposed to help but when I raked, nothing would happen.  Mommy managed to get piles of dead grass together though.  She is good.

Pretty soon it will be time to plant tomatoes again.  I helped last year and Daddy said I could help again this year.  Mommy also bought some basil to plant and we're thinking about starting a very small garden.  It's hard in our yard though since we don't have any backyard neighbors...the wild animals always come and eat our garden plants!  If anyone has any ideas on how to keep deer, rabbits, skunks, raccoons, and coyotes away we would really appreciate it!

I Heart the Spring

I have had a very busy spring.  After being couped up in the house all winter, I am now spending a LOT of time outside now that the weather is cooperating.  I have been to many, many different parks.  I'm getting very good at crossing rope bridges and climbing "rock" walls.  Mommy is also teaching me to swing by myself.  It's not as hard as I thought it would be.  I can also ride my tricycle very fast.  I struggled with it last spring but this spring I have riden it all over the neighborhood.  I love playing outside!

I am also learning how to cook.  One day while Mommy was outside talking to our neighbor, I helped Daddy make dinner.  I was in charge of cooking the hamburger - which I did, all by myself!  Mommy was shocked and she thought the pasta was delicious.  I also help scramble eggs, stir ingredients together, and I helped Grace make a cake from scratch.  I'm quite the little chef and a great little helper.

Yesterday I was supposed to start ballet at the community center but Mommy got the times confused and we were an hour late!  She is not so smart.  But I will get to go next Monday and hopefully remember to blog about it.  Also, on the way to the dentist last week, Mommy ran right into a dance studio very close to us.  She had no idea it was there so we stopped in and she signed me up for dance camp over the summer.  I will be learing tap, ballet, and tumbling.  It's going to be so fun!

Last month was Daddy's birthday so Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Sheila and my cousin Frostie came to see us.  Grandma brought all of these clothes for me to dress up in.  I've never had so much fun putting on a different outfit every 5 minutes.  Grace and I were looking very cute!  They also brought us presents.  I love when we get to see them!!

Speaking of birthdays, today is Nana's birthday!  I am going to go out to dinner with her, then we're going back to her house to eat some cake, and then I get to spend the night.  I can't wait!  I asked if Seren was going to stay too but Mommy said she is too young.  Maybe next year we can have a slumber party.  Yesterday we went to Easton to buy her a present and I got a new swimsuit!  I picked it out all by myself.  It has stripes and cute little bows at the bottom.  Mommy said I did a good job choosing one.  I will definitely be modeling it as soon as it gets warm enough.  You know how I love to strike a pose!

I hope everyone has had a good spring like me!  I'll try to get Mommy to blog more soon.  She should since I have a lot of stuff going on this weekend.  Xoxoxo!

It Was A Boo Boo Kind of Weekend

I thought I was going to have a nice relaxing weekend but that was shot down early Saturday morning.  I was just settling in to a nice big bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (my favorite cereal) when I heard Chubba screaming.  Mommy ran out of the kitchen.  Then I heard Mommy scream.  I didn't know what was going on so I continued chomping on my cereal.  The next thing I knew, Mommy was lifting me away from my bowl and putting my coat and shoes on.  I couldn't leave the house!  I still had my pajamas on and no one had bothered putting a comb through my morning rat's nest.  I sensed I shouldn't complain as Mommy was crying and shaking.  I just did as I was told and got in the car.

We ended up going to the hospital.  Chubba had fallen down the stairs.  We were at the hospital FOREVER.  They looked at her and then we just sat there...for a long, long, long time.  Daddy found some cartoons for me to watch and I was really quiet and being very good while Seren took a nap.  But when she woke up, I became very grumpy.  I think it was because I was up so late the night before at 101 Dalmations.  Plus we were stuck in this small room with nothing fun to do.  It was b-o-r-i-n-g.

The doctor let us leave and I thought I was going to go home to have some lunch.  Instead I had a complete meltdown in the car over nothing and Mommy decided a nap would do me good first.  She was right.  I fell right asleep and woke up to my usual, cheery disposition.  After lunch we went to Toys R Us and I got to pick out any toy I wanted since I was good (for the most part) at the hospital.  Mommy and Daddy let Seren pick something out too (actually, they chose it but that's because she is too young to pick things out for herself).  This ended up being the highlight of the weekend.

I thought today would be better but Daddy had to finish doing his taxes and Mommy finally got her books for her class and she said she had to study.  I guess she hasn't done any school work in 2 months!  All day I was forced to play by myself in the basement so I wouldn't disturb anyone.  Things picked up before dinner though.  Mommy and I went to the store and she let me get some chocolate pudding.  After dinner, I helped Daddy set up some tunnels for Seren to crawl through.  I showed her how to do it.  She's pretty good at crawling (but I'm totally better!).  I found a ladybug inside the house and completely freaked out.  Daddy and Mommy kept telling me that ladybugs won't hurt me and Daddy made me pick it up and take it outside.  I did it, but I was really grossed out.  I do not like bugs!

Mommy played with me for a long time.  It was kind of like hide and seek only Mommy was the only one hiding and I was the only one chasing.  When I would catch her, I would force her to take a nap with me and she would try to escape.  It was really fun until I tripped over a pile of clothes in her bedroom and landed face-first on the floor.  And then again, when I threw myself backwards while Mommy was trying to tickle me and hit the back of my head on some tile.  That hurt!

When I had calmed down from smacking my head, Daddy made me clean the basement.  I did a really good job.  The basement is spotless!  Daddy and I set up a racetrack and raced cars down the stairs until I had to get ready for bed.  I guess this weekend wasn't so bad afterall...if you take out all of the injuries anyway.

Here is a picture I promised earlier.  This was when I surprised Mommy by making her bed.

This is the snowman I made.  He had icicle arms :)

Me crawling through the tunnel.

101 Dalmations

I have the best Gammy ever!  She bought tickets to go see 101 Dalmations.  She told me that people would be dressed in dog costumes and would sing and dance for me.  I was very excited.  On Friday, Mommy made me take a bath and let me pick out a pretty dress to wear for the show.  Gammy and Scratchy came over for dinner and then Gammy, Mommy, and I took off to go see the show!  (Gammy, Mommy, and I were all dressed up and looked really pretty, but we forgot to take any pictures!  Mommy was so mad at herself.)

When we got there, all of the ushers kept commenting on how pretty I looked but I just stuck close to Gammy and didn't say a word.  The usher led us almost to the very front of the theater.  We had great seats!  I was so excited to see the show.  While we waited, Mommy and Gammy chatted away, I took everything in.  The ceiling was very different than any ceiling I've ever seen before.  There were domes and paintings and gold.  It was very pretty.  The curtain on stage was covered in black spots.  Gammy told me that's because dalmations have black spots on their fur.  The chairs were red and were very soft.  I couldn't wait to see the dogs!

When the show started I was super excited.  I watched very intently, clapped after all of the songs, and smiled at Mommy in between scenes.  Unfortunately the show didn't start until after 8pm and I didn't take much of a nap that day.  About 10 minutes before intermission I asked Mommy if it was over.  She said no.  Five minutes later I looked at her and said, "I want this to be over now.".  I was very sleepy.  Mommy told Gammy and they decided we would leave at intermission.

I didn't get to see the whole show, but I loved the first half.  Gammy said that we'll try again when I am four.  Oh that Gammy!  She's always full of good ideas!

Preschool

Mommy took me to go look at a preschool on Wednesday.  Mommy really likes this one because the building is very new.  The inside is brightly painted for kids my age and the people running it seem very nice and very competent.  The director led us around and showed me the room where I would start.  All of the kids said hi to me, but I was too scared to say hi back.  They had just gotten up from naptime and were about to eat a snack.

In the Pre-K room, the snack was green eggs and ham in honor of Dr. Seuss.  I thought that sounded like fun!  Mommy was really excited that they teach sign language and spanish in all of the classes, but I really liked the art projects that the kids do every day.  Mommy is pretty sure that this is the preschool she wants me to go to but she said we have to check out a few more before we finally decide.

When we got home, I was exhausted and I was just about to fall asleep when Mommy came into my room.  Aside from scaring the living daylights out of me, she told me that Daddy had a flat tire and that we had to go pick Grace up from school.  I was so excited!  I love car trips and I love going to get Grace.  Seren was not so happy...she didn't care that we were going to pick Grace up, she just wanted to take a nap!

Ballet? - Not So Much

Two weeks ago Mommy told me that we were going to a ballet class for a trial run.  She said that if I liked it, she would sign me up for lessons once a week.  Well, that week it snowed.  A lot.  Daddy couldn't get the car down the street so he had to take the Hummer and we were snowed in.  Then I got very sick.  Actually, Daddy got sick and he gave it to me.  Then I gave it to Mommy and she gave it to Seren.  Then we all gave it to Grace.  We were highly contagious!  Poor Seren still has a runny nose and I still have a cough but we are all getting better.

Back to dance - Mommy called the ballet place yesterday and they were no longer accepting new students this session.  Mommy said I have to wait until mid-June!  I don't really get what that means, so I just bring up dance classes every couple of hours and ask her if I can go now.  She never says yes.  We can't even sign me up for classes at the Westerville Community Center because their spring session began already.  Mommy promised she will find me something to do.  I sure hope so because I need to get out of this house!  (If anyone has any ideas for her, please email or facebook her or leave a comment on my blog.  I could really use some fun!)  I just wish it had never snowed or that I had never gotten sick.  Then I'd be a dancer by now!

To try to make it up to me, she took me to the grocery store last night and let me pick out some candy.  I chose Gummy Savers and they are sooooooo good!  Plus, Mommy said I can help her bake chocolate chip cookies tonight.  It's not ballet, but it will have to do.  Later today we are going to look at some preschools.  I will let you know how I feel about that later.  I hope everyone is having a great day!

Goodbye Caleigh!

Today I went to Caleigh's house.  Caleigh is my (3rd?) cousin and she is moving to Charlotte, North Carolina next week.  Mommy took me over to play and to say goodbye.  At first I was a little shy but it didn't take me long to find Caleigh's toys and start playing with them.  She has a great pink kitchen and a lot of the same fun things that I have.  Before I could get too busy cooking, I had to eat lunch.  We had pizza.  Caleigh and I sat at the big table while Mommy and Eva (Caleigh's Mommy) sat in the family room with Chubba and Sophie.  Sophie is Caleigh's little sister and she was born the day after Seren!  They just missed each other in the hospital!  But I digress...Anyway, after lunch, Caleigh showed me where I could wash my hands.  She was so helpful and even turned the water on for me!  Then she busted out these really neat crayons that you can use to color on windows.  We put our sunglasses on and colored the windows.  We made such pretty pictures but now Mommy is really afraid that I'm going to try to draw on our windows with regular crayons.  Who knows, I just might!

Caleigh and I really had some fun when we escaped from the grown-ups and the babies and played upstairs.  We were giggling and having a great time.  I had such a good time that I even let Caleigh play with Lamby.  I usually don't let anyone touch Lamby...Not even Seren.  I was very sad when it was time to go.  First I kept asking Mommy if I could take different toys home with me.  She kept saying no.  Then, when we got in the car, I told Mommy that I didn't want to go home, that I wanted to stay and play with Caleigh some more.  Mommy said we had to go home but I could play with Caleigh next month when she comes to back to Columbus to visit.  I can't wait!!  Thank you Caleigh for letting me come to your house and for sharing all of your toys with me!

I was so tired from all of the fun, that I fell asleep on the way home.  We weren't home for very long before I had to start getting ready to go to Nana's.  Mommy and Daddy were going to dinner and they weren't taking me or Seren!  I didn't mind though because Nana always feeds me and I want to spend some time with her before she leaves for Vietnam on Monday.  After dinner, Nana and Pappy played with me while Seren took a nap.  I had such a good day.  I hope tomorrow is just as fun!

Here is a picture of Caleigh and me being goofy.  Mommy was bad and forgot her camera (again!) so she had to take this with her phone.  (Also, sorry if you already saw this on her facebook page.)

Look at how we made a huge mess in a matter of minutes.  That takes talent :)

Cabin Fever

We are close to record amounts of snow this year.  I hear all of the grown-ups complaining but I like it!  I get to go sledding, build snowmen, have snowball fights, and (my personal favorite) shovel the driveway.  (By shoveling the driveway, I mean watching mommy shovel the driveway while I shovel the grass.)  I LOVE snow!!!

I am getting sick of being stuck at home though.  I was supposed to start ballet this morning but we had to cancel it because my mom had to reschedule her doctor's appointment from yesterday to today.  She couldn't get out of the neighborhood because no one has plowed our street yet.  This morning was the only opening they had until April!  I guess I'll have to wait and start dance next week  :(

On Saturday, I was able to get out for a little while.  Daddy took Grace and me to the movies.  We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks.  Grace and I really liked it but Daddy must've been really tired or something.  He kept falling asleep.  Sunday I went to the mall with Mommy.  We mostly bought stuff for her but we did go to Barnes & Noble and bought a bunch of books for me.  I love books and I wanted them all.  A new favorite of mine are the Berenstein Bears books.  Mommy had some that her grandma used to read to her when she was little and now she reads them to me.  We got some new ones, some fairy tales, and a touch and feel animal book.  These have kept me busy while I've been stuck inside.

I did do something super nice for my mommy today.  While she was in the shower, I made her bed for her!  She couldn't believe how well I did and she was so happy and proud of me.  Scratchy and Gammy came over to watch us while she went to the doctor's and she bragged to them about how I made the bed.  She even made them go look at it right away.  I guess I did a really good job!

Later today we are going to a dress shop to pick up Mommy's bridesmaid dress for Aunt Jessica's wedding and then we have to pick Grace up from school.  I will post pictures of my snow adventures and my great bed-making skills later!

Mommy's Birthday

Yesterday was my mommy's birthday.  When I woke up, Mommy was in a hurry because we had to take Grace to school and we had to leave extra early because Grace forgot her bookbag at her mom's house.  We all piled into the car, fought the snow and slow-moving traffic, got to Grace's mom's house, only to find out that there was a 2 hour delay.  Mommy was mad.  Usually Daddy tells her if there is a delay, but he missed it this morning.

Mommy drove us all the way back home and since it was Mommy's birthday (and Daddy messed up), Daddy came back home to take Grace to school.  That made Mommy happy again.  Nana came over and gave Mommy lots of presents and brought her some flowers.  She also gave me a box of chocolates for Valentine's day.  Then I got Valentine's presents from Grandma and Grandpa.  They sent me a card and these crafts that make magnets.  I made one yesterday that was a teddy bear.  Mommy said I could make another one today.  I can't wait!

I was a really good helper and helped make cherry cheesecake squares.  I poured all of the ingredients in and used the mixer to stir everything together.  Daddy and I put candles on them and I sang happy birthday to Mommy.  I am such a good singer!  Then we gave her a card that said "Happy birthday" on the front but the letters were actually pictures of me, Chubba, and Grace.  Mommy LOVED it!  She thought it was so cute.  I'm glad because we all worked very hard on the card.  Even Seren helped!

Here are some pictures that Mommy took yesterday.

Happy birthday Mommy!!  I hope you had a great day!!

Mommy Was Missing

My mommy has been bad and has not blogged for me in a long, long time.  I guess she has been pretty busy.  Last Friday she went to Durham, NC to visit my aunt Jess.  She left so early that I didn't get to see her at all that day.  Daddy had to go to work so I stayed home with Scratchy, Gammy, and Seren.  We had a great time playing but Gammy left early because she was afraid the roads were going to be bad with all of the snow that was coming down.  It snowed so much that Daddy's work let everyone go home early.

On Saturday, Mommy still wasn't home.  She wasn't with Aunt Jess anymore though.  She called and told me she was in Charlotte visiting Aunt Heather, Uncle Drew, and baby Liam.  Aunt Shannon and Aunt Courtney were there too.  She said she was having a good time but that she missed me so much.  I told her that I missed her too and I told her that I was being a good girl.  That made her very happy.  I also told her that Daddy and Pappy took me sledding and that my face was still cold.  I LOVE sledding.  I have a sled and a tube.  I like the tube the best because it goes really fast and spins around.  I live on the dangerous side!  I stayed outside until my cheeks turned purple.

I thought that Mommy would be home on Sunday but she still didn't come home!  Daddy and I got snacks for the Superbowl including cake!  We put Cool Whip and berries on it and it was so good!  Daddy also let me have some strawberry milk which I spilled everywhere.  Oops!  On Monday I had to go to Nana's so that Daddy could go to work.  I told Nana how much I missed my mommy and that she had been gone for a very long time.  She told me that Mommy was coming home that day and I was very excited.  When Daddy came home, he told me that we were going to pick Mommy up from the airport in a few hours.  I was so excited that I danced around the family room and ran around in circles!

Mommy gave me big kisses before she jumped in the car.  She kept telling me how much she missed me and I told her that I missed her so much too.  I am so glad that Mommy is back!

I Can Be a B-R-A-T, Brat, Brat, Brat :)

I spent most of today seeing how many ways I could get into trouble.  First I woke Mommy up especially early, hehe!  Later I made sure to make a lot of loud noise to wake Seren up from her morning nap.  I succeeded.  I feel like if I'm awake, everyone should be awake.  Sleeping is overrated anyway.  Last night I got into trouble for playing on the stairs.  Daddy yelled at me because he said I could fall down the stairs and get hurt.  Although this is true because I am really clumsy and tend to not pay attention to what I'm doing, I decided it would be fine to play on them while he was at work.  Mommy had to tell me three different times not to play on the stairs and send me to timeout before I would listen to her.

I did many other ornery things today (most of which included ignoring Mommy when she would ask me to do something) but Mommy thinks this is her fault.  My Aunt Heather went into labor this morning and Mommy didn't pay much attention to me because she was so anxious about Aunty H.  I sure hope Liam is born tomorrow so Mommy isn't distracted all day again!  I thought she was going to have a heart-attack every time her phone rang or beeped.  I didn't know she could run so fast!

I did get to make my own pizza for dinner and it was very good!  Grace told me I should thank myself, so I did.  After dinner, Daddy let me watch Cinderella (my favorite movie) and Grace and I started working on a scrapbook.  We took pictures with my camera to make memories.  When Daddy prints them out, we can put them in the scrapbook and decorate them with stickers.  I love stickers!  Before I went to bed, Chubba became very sick and it was grossing me out.  I just kept pointing at her and saying, "Ewwwww!".  I think I'm going to have nightmares about it!

I Heart the Dentist

I went to the dentist today.  It wasn't my first time but it was my first time sitting by myself.  Usually I sit in Mommy's lap but I am a big girl now so I had to sit alone.  Plus she had Seren with her this time.  I love going to the dentist because there is a special playroom filled with lots of toys that I can play with while we are waiting.  Mommy was in the middle of reading "The Cat In The Hat" when they called my name.

I was very cooperative and did everything the dental hygenist asked me to do.  She always takes the time to show me how everything works so that I won't be scared and she lets me pick out the flavors of my toothpaste and vitamin (flouride).  Today I picked chocolate toothpaste and banana vitamin.  We thought they would be a good combination and it was delicious!  I did such a good job that I got three prizes - a football, cherry chapstick, and a toy cell phone.  I also got two stickers, a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss.  I was even allowed to pick a toy out for Seren...even though she didn't do anything.  Then Dr. Emily came in and checked my teeth.  No cavities!

Mommy is so relieved that I love the dentist.  She is obsessed with taking good care of her teeth and she wants me to take care of mine.  She really likes my dentist office too.  She kept saying that they're the best pediatric dental office in town...whatever that means!  The next time I go I am going to get my first x-rays.  I can't wait!

A Weekend Off

Mommy and Daddy were very excited this weekend because it was the first time we didn't have something to do or somewhere to go since Thanksgiving.  They said we were going to take it easy and that's what we did.  On Saturday, Daddy took me to Grace's last basketball game.  The school mascot was there.  I tried to get him to talk to me but he wouldn't say hi.  We cheered for Grace and I had a good time but I didn't want to go.  Well, really I just wanted Grace to come with us but Daddy said she couldn't.

When I got home, I helped Mommy clean with the cleaning supplies that Santa brought me for Christmas.  I love to vaccuum, mop, and dust.  Mommy said that I am a very good helper!  Last Saturday, Mommy took me to see my first movie in a theater.  It was called The Princess and the Frog.  I liked it so much I tried to talk Mommy into going again yesterday but we didn't.  Mommy said the next Disney movie that comes out, she will take me to see.  I can't wait!

Nana came over and played with me for a little while.  After she left Daddy and I walked down to the pond and threw sticks at the ice.  I got to play outside for a long time since it was warmer.  I wish it was spring already.  Then I'll be outside all of the time.  This morning it was actually warm enough for a thunderstorm.  It woke me up at 5 in the morning.  I was mad.

Nothing very exciting happened today.  I went to Kroger's with Mommy.  It was a good thing I wore my raincoat because it was pouring.  I helped Mommy make cornbread and managed to smash the dried flowers that I've had since I was born.  Daddy was not impressed with that.  I also played hide-and-go-seek with Mommy but I'm not very good at it yet.  I usually tell her where I'm going to hide.  Either that or I hide in the last spot she was hiding!  Well, that's all for now.  I have to get back to my laptop.  Daddy and I are working and watching the playoffs :)

Visiting Daddy at Work

Today has been a fun day.  After taking Grace to school, Mommy gave me a bath.  She said my hair was looking a little funky, probably because I tend to sweat a lot in my sleep and my hair sticks to my head.  She wanted me to be squeaky clean since we were going to visit Daddy at work.  We hadn't been to see him at work since Seren was born.

When we got to Daddy's work, the first person we visited (after Daddy of course) was Monique.  Monique was Mommy's boss when she worked at Cass.  At first I wouldn't talk at all but then Monique gave me a lollipop and I decided she was a nice lady and chatted with her.  We wandered around the building and everyone was really excited to see us.  I got so much candy, I thought it was Halloween again!  Mommy thinks the reason people kept giving me candy is because that was the only way they could get me to talk.  After we made our rounds to all of Mommy's old friends, we went back to see Daddy and he took me around to see his friends.

Half of the people we talked to said I look just like Daddy.  The other half said that I look just like Mommy.  I think that I look like me.  All in all I had a good time going to Daddy's work, but I am happy to be home.  All of those adults talking to Mommy was kind of boring, even though I had candy to eat.  Plus, I have been dying to play with these toy cars Grace found in the basement!  I was having a great time playing with them until I found a ladybug.  It really freaked me out!!

I am Number One

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ella.  I just turned 3 on December 1st and I am a very lucky little girl.  I live with my mommy, my daddy, my older sister Grace (8), and my baby sister Seren (8 months) in Westerville, Ohio.  My mom already has a blog called Chubba and the Bear (Chubba being Seren's nickname, the Bear being mine).  She uses it to write about what's going on in her life but thought it would be a good idea to start a seperate blog just for me.  This way I can post short blogs everyday of things I have been up to.

Even though it is only 10:30 in the morning, I have already had a busy day.  This morning I woke up and my mom made me blueberry pancakes for breakfast.  Yum!  I love blueberries and I love pancakes.  Then I got dressed in a new outfit that my mom bought for me a few days ago.  I love it because the top ties around my waist and there is a scarf that I haven't taken off since Tuesday.  Usually my mom lets me dress myself because I can and I love to do it, but we were in a hurry today so she had to dress me.  After I got dressed, we had to leave to take Grace to school.  She goes to school all the way up in Lewis Center because that's where her mom lives.  It takes us 20 minutes to get there on a good day.  We lucked out this morning - there was no traffic!  Mommy even had time to stop at Starbucks which always puts her in a good mood.

On the way to Grace's school, we listened to one of my favorite CD's.  It's a mix that has a lot of Miley Cyrus songs.  I LOVE Hannah Montana!  I know all of the words to many of her songs.  After we dropped Grace off, we went to the store.  My mom is making pot roast for dinner and we had to go buy all of the ingredients.  Seren cried the whole time we were in the store...but I'll let her tell you all about it on her blog (seren-thestoryofmylifeasachubba.blogspot.com).  Because my daddy is rotten and loves to spoil me, I get a craving for doughnuts.  My mommy was really nice today and bought one. (She usually disapproves of me eating things like doughnuts.  I guess they're not very healthy.)  It had chocolate frosting and sprinkles and was shaped like a star!  I ate it in 5 minutes.  Yum, yum, yum!  The guy at the checkout also gave me stickers.  People are always giving me stickers at the grocery store.  My mom tells me it's because I'm so cute.  She's probably right.

Anyway, I wanted to help my mom start dinner but she said it wasn't time yet, so I decided to go make dinner in my own kitchen while Seren is taking a nap.  That is all for now!  I'll update again if anything exciting happens!

By the way - here are some pictures of me in my new clothes.  Doesn't it make you want to give me a sticker too??
